About Department

Shri Shivaji Arts & Commerce College, Amravati was established in 1946 managed under Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati. Post Graduation Course was started in 1980. Political Science students will analyze Individual and Group Political Behaviour, the Political process, Public Policy and Administration. Political Science students will compare and contrast the various Political, Social and Economic systems that exist across the International Community and analyze the Political consequences of those variations. The Number of Merit Students has been consistent over couple of Years. Prof. B. T. Deshmukh was the HOD of this Department who represented as Member of upper house of Maharashtra Assembly for 30 years
